How to Make Delicious Lactation Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 Bag of Lactation Brownie Mix (24 oz.)
- 3 Eggs
- 1.5 Sticks of unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 9 x 13 Pan
- Large Mixing Bowl
- Hand mixer or mixing spoon
- Cooking Spray (or oil)
Note: We’ll be needing the following as well:
- Oven (pre-heat to 350°)
- Hand mixer
- 9x13 pan (slightly oiled the pan to avoid sticking)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees.
- Crack 3 eggs and 1.5 sticks of room temperature butter into a large mixing bowl
- Mix butter and eggs using a hand mixer on low speed until they are as blended as possible. You will want to make sure that they are as homogeneous and combined as they can be before adding the dry mix.
- Once mixed, add the entire bag of brownie mix. Now, you will need to pull out your hand mixer or spoon again to combine all of the ingredients.
- Continue mixing until the contents look slightly moist. (Note: It will not look like a cake batter, but more like a cookie dough.)
- Slightly oil or butter your 9 x 13 pan. Transfer mixed ingredients from the bowl into your 9 x 13 pan. Spread it down across the pan and into the corners.
- Pop into the oven at 350 degrees for 20-23 minutes.
- When the timer goes off, the first thing you will need to do is check for doneness! To do this, take your toothpick about one inch from the edge and poke down. If the toothpick comes out clean, the brownies are done!
- Allow brownies to cool. It’s very important to allow your brownies to cool as they will continue to cook in the pan for a little longer. We recommend letting them sit for about 2.5 hours.
- ENJOY! Once brownies have cooled, cut a hearty portion and enjoy! Recommendation: We like to top our brownies with a touch of powdered sugar for a fun little garnish.
Today, we will be making some of our amazing lactation brownies. First you'll want to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Three different flavors we have: our double chocolate, our salted caramel, and our new peanut butter candy. First you crack your three eggs into the bowl, next you'll add your butter, it's one and a half sticks of butter and it does need to be room temperature. I also recommend cutting it into a few small pieces if you can, that will just help with the blending. Step one is the mixing, you'll want to do this on low speed, if you don't have a hand mixer that's fine it will take a little bit longer if you do it by hand with a spoon or a whisk but you do want to try to get these two ingredients as blended as possible. This is the only liquid that we're adding to the mixture so you want to make sure that they're as homogeneous and combined as can be before you add in the dry brownie mix. We're doing our original double chocolate and you will be adding the entire mix, make sure you get every last delicious chocolate chip out and mix away. If you're doing this by hand it will take considerably longer especially in this step because since there's not a lot of extra liquid in brownies, you do need to mix and mix and mix until it does start to look slightly moist. This isn't going to look like cake batter, it'll look a lot more like a cookie dough, this is a nice, thick, rich batter. We do want to put it in a 9 by 13 pan and you do want to make sure that you oil or butter the pan slightly. Slightly is key, just a tiny bit to keep them from sticking. All I'm doing here is just working that batter side to side, spreading it down to get it all the way into the corners. You'll pop it in the oven, 350 degrees anywhere from 20 to about 23 minutes. Brownies are done! Now the very next thing to check for is doneness you want to take your toothpick about one inch from the edge and poke down, comes out clean, brownies are done. They've been cooling for about two and a half hours, gonna cut a nice hearty portion here. One of my favorite ways to garnish these is with just a touch of powdered sugar and there you have it a delicious healthy treat for mom.
